From 27 to 29 May 2024, the V Baikal International Forum of Partners (BIFP) will be held in Irkutsk. The event is dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the East-Siberian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The organiser of BIFP-2024 is the East-Siberian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The event is supported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev, the Government of the Irkutsk Region, the Entrepreneurship Support and Development Fund of the Irkutsk Region acting through ‘My Business’ Centre.
The goals of the V Baikal International Forum of Partners-2024 are to expand and strengthen trade and economic ties with friendly countries, consolidate business communities in order to develop and promote interregional and international cooperation in various economic spheres, stimulate investment and trade interaction, exchange opinions and experience between experts from different countries in order to implement mutually beneficial initiatives, demonstrate economic and innovation potential, and develop foreign economic and scientific and technological cooperation.
The key topics of the Forum will be the integration of small and medium-sized businesses into corporate projects implemented in the Irkutsk region; intensification and extension of cooperation between regional commodity producers and federal, regional and foreign retailers; development and enhancement of international cooperation with foreign partners from friendly countries, including in the sphere of two-way trade and tourism.
Heads of international, federal and regional government agencies, business support institutions, banking institutions and funds, state corporations and major holdings, scientific and diplomatic structures will take part in the Forum as speakers.
The Forum programme has been drawn up with due consideration to the opinion of the entrepreneurial community.
The first day of the Forum will traditionally feature a Plenary Session. Its topic is: ‘Investment Transformation of Siberian Regions. Integrated Territorial Development: Partnership of Corporations and Small Business’.
Within the framework of the rich business programme of BIFP-2024, a Negotiation Marathon will be organised over the three days - separate sections, one of which will be attended by major industrial oil and gas producing companies of the Irkutsk Region – Irkutsk Oil Company (also INK) and Gazprom.
A significant part of the Forum's business programme will be dedicated to international cooperation; B2B negotiations will be held within this part, which will be attended by export-oriented enterprises of the Irkutsk region and more than 100 foreign companies from China, Vietnam, Mongolia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and others.
The most representative delegation - more than 50 entrepreneurs - is expected from China.
No less important part of the Forum will be devoted to the interregional contact exchange for business negotiations between the Irkutsk Region enterprises and companies from Siberia and the Far East in the format of reverse trade and economic missions. The regional chambers of commerce and industry of the Russian CCI system are working on making interregional delegations. Delegations from 10 regions of Siberia and the Far East are currently scheduled to participate.
At the moment we are organizing a trade and purchasing session to be attended by international, federal and regional retailers, regional branded trade networks and goods/commodity producers from the Irkutsk Region, as well as regions of Siberia and the Far East. The format will include B2B negotiations in the form of a negotiation marathon for potential cooperation between trade networks and goods/commodity producers.
Due to the importance of expanding cooperation in the field of tourism, the Organizing Committee, within the framework of the Forum, has developed a programme to be participated by representatives of travel companies from Russian regions and foreign countries in a Fam (Promotional) tour of traveller attractions of the Irkutsk region, including the Slyudyansky, Olkhonsky, Irkutsk districts and the city of Irkutsk (scheduled for 28-30 of May).
In cooperation with ‘My Business’ Centre and partner organisations for young entrepreneurs, we are organizing communication with representatives of support structures, financial organisations in the form of a popular QUIZ business game. Winners will get prizes.
An entertainment programme is planned for guests of honour and members of the Chamber. In the evening on the opening day of the Forum – the 27th of May - an official reception will be held.
